Nature’s Charm Condensed Coconut Milk

I bought recently Nature’s Charm Condensed Coconut Milk and I wanted to share my thoughts on it. The same company has coconut evaporated milk and coconut whipping cream, both canned. I bought all of them. This is made by a vegan company, in Thailand, where they are producing the coconuts too. You can check their website and instagram for more details.

The Condensed Coconut Milk is made with coconut milk and cane sugar. Only one other ingredient is added: salt. This makes this product suitable for, well, anybody: vegans, coeliacs as it is, obviously, gluten free, and people with lactose intolerance. It has 386 calories per 100g.

I have a few recipes with condensed milk and I plan to, gradually, remake them vegan. The products made by Nature’s Charm will be very helpful with this. The condensed milk has the expected coconut flavour, but it is not too overpowering, making it good for desserts. Also, this milk alternative has a very similar texture to the dairy one, which is, again, really great. The sweetness is very similar too. I was very pleasantly surprised by it.

This is, obviously, a product aimed at vegans, but I think it is a good alternative for anyone who wants to try something new or who wants to make a coconut based dessert.

Now, let’s talk about price. Nature’s Charm Condensed Coconut Milk is just shy of £2.50 for 320g while the dairy alternative, from a brand we know, is about £1.5 for 400g. The difference in price is not as much as I was expecting it to be, considering that one is made from expensive coconuts.

Have you heard of Nature’s Charm Condensed Coconut Milk or tried it? I’d love to hear your thoughts about it, so please leave a message.

  1. I’ve never seen any condensed or evaporated coconut milk products. I would definitely try them if I did, since I have some good recipes that call for that type of dairy.

One of the brands of coconut milk I buy also markets coconut cream. I’ve used that when making ice cream.

    1. I bought coconut cream too, like a block, which needs to be soften before using. It’s pretty amazing how many new items are coming on the market, even if they are already sold in other parts of the world. It makes our lives much easier.
