Naan pizza

My husband loves pizza, so we have it regularly. I usually make the dough, but this time we wanted something different and much faster. It was the first time I’ve made Naan pizza. There are a lot of options for toppings to choose from and this time I’ve made it with veggie salami, cheese and mushrooms.

01 Naan pizza

Ingredients for 2 naan pizza:

– 2 Naan breads
– 1 can of plum tomatoes
– 1 small can of tomato paste
– salt, pepper, basil, oregano
– 3 garlic cloves
– cheddar cheese
– mushrooms
– vegetarian salami

Pre-heat the oven to 200C or 180C fan. If you want a pizza with an extra crispy base, put a pizza stone in the oven to warm.

Make the tomato sauce by blending the plum tomatoes with the tomato paste. Crush the garlic and fry it in a pan over medium heat until golden. Add the tomato sauce and the spices and keep it on the stove for a few minutes. Take the sauce off the hob and leave it too cool slightly. If you don’t want to make your own sauce, just use shop-bought or ketchup.

Spread the sauce over the naan. Sprinkle grated cheddar on top of the base, add slices of salami and big chunks of mushrooms.

If you are using the pizza stone, take it out of the oven carefully and transfer the pizza on the stone.

Bake the pizza for 5-7 minutes. Take it out of the oven and leave it too cool for a minute, than is ready to be served.

Do you make Naan pizza?
