I eat jam every day after working out, so I need at least a jar in the fridge. For me, homemade jam is so much better than shop-bought because I can add flavours for a twist. This time I’ve made melon and cinnamon jam, as I think the flavours go well together.
Ingredients Melon and cinnamon jam:
– 2 medium size honey melons
– 750g sugar
– 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Cut the melons in small cubes.
Put it on the hob at medium heat with the sugar and a spoon of water. Stir once in a while. After 30 minutes add the cinnamon and stir. The jam is ready in 45 minutes to an hour.
Put the jam in the jars while is still hot and close the lid. Two melons are enough for a batch of 4 jars.
Enjoy!
What are your favourite flavours of jam? Do you make your own?
What an intriguing-sounding flavour!!!x
It is so yummy. I really like it and I also like to take advantage to add some spices if I’m making my own jam.
